November Call-Outs

In November our team of volunteer BEEP Doctors were called out to 12 incidents across the county, including Lancaster, Carlisle and Legburthwaite. Eight of these were road traffic accidents, so please take note of driving conditions before you travel this winter and don’t drink & drive.

BEEP (BASICS Cumbria) receive donation

BEEP (BASICS) Cumbria has received a donation for £20,851.76 from the British Association for Immediate Care. The donation was made possible after the group successfully bid from an annual pot of £250,000, which is given to the British Association for Immediate Care every year by the County Air Ambulance HELP Appeal – the only charity… Read more »

Farming Accident: Case Study

In May 2020, BEEP Doctor Theo Weston was called by Northwest Ambulance Service (NWAS) to a farm near Penrith to a farming accident where a farmer had seriously injured his right forearm.
